The Pitmen start their home season against Nantyglo

Penallta are at home at Trinity Fields tomorrow against Nantyglo. Kick off 2.30pm.

Please come along and give the boys some great support.

After last week's excellent win away to Blaenavon in the season opener Penallta play their first home league game against another Blaenau Gwent side, Nantyglo RFC.

Nantyglo lost at home last week to Brecon but were no pushover last season in their first go in Division 1, testing eventual runner's up Penallta both home and away.

The Pitmen look strong on paper with Premiership new-boys Lewis Barnett and Max George back in the starting line-up. Lloyd Bridges is back at loose head too, in a very powerful pack of forwards.

Penallta Youth are also at home on the 3G Centre of Sporting Excellence, with a league game against Tredegar. The Youth lost a tough opener away to title contenders Newport HSOB last week and will be determined to start their home season with a bang. Tredegar saw off Bargoed in their first league match so it will be another tough test for the youngsters.

After the game, the club are arranging to show the Pay Per View Boxing in the main hall, as Kell Brook takes on Gennady Golovkin in their world middleweight title clash. If the boxing isn't up to scratch, Penallta's very own Charlie Tucker says he's willing to put on his own demonstration in the club car park directly afterwards, to show how it's really done.

Good luck tomorrow boys. Let's enjoy a great day of rugby.
